Art as an Act of Healing:
Finding Balance in Chaos
I have been an artist all my life. Early forays into painting, art theory and composition led me to art school where I graduated in fine art. One summer I attended a workshop titled “Art as an Act of Healing” taught by New York artist Nancy Azara. Through a week of meditation and creative process a deep knowledge came true for me: each artistic endeavor is, in some way, an act of healing.
My work embodies intuitive process and expressionistic reflection. “Balance in Chaos” is a general theme through all my work. I aim to express through color, movement, clear process and composition, the yin and yang, the true dual nature of our world and lives. My work is always evolving. Through painting, collage and photography I learn more about balance in my own life and in turn invite others to experience their own healing journey.
